A timeline of celebrations
Our wedding day will be different from what some may expect from a traditional wedding celebration and will be conducted in both Afrikaans and English. Instead of a formal reception, we have chosen to celebrate our marriage in a way that reflects our faith, our families, and our church community.
The day will centre around a time of worship, the sharing of our vows, and fellowship together as we celebrate God's faithfulness.

Arrive, find a seat, and settle in as you prepare your heart for the morning.
10:00
The bride will walk down the aisle and the service will begin with a call to worship, prayer, and a sermon.
10:45
We will exchange our vows and be joined together in marriage.
11:20
Following the ceremony, family and friends are invited to participate in the honour guard as we celebrate the beginning of our married life together.
11:30 – 12:30
Guests are warmly invited to stay for a time of finger foods and fellowship together.
We kindly invite anyone who is willing and able to bring a plate of finger foods to share. Every contribution is greatly appreciated!
Plates and serviettes will be provided.
Thank you for helping us make this a joyful time of fellowship and community.
12:30 – 13:00
We will gather together for the cutting of the wedding cake, followed by a few short speeches.
13:00
The bride, groom, immediate family, and wedding party will leave for photographs. During this time, guests are welcome to continue enjoying fellowship and spending time together.
14:00
As the celebration draws to a close, we will begin packing away and cleaning up.
For those who are willing and able to assist, we would greatly appreciate a helping hand with tidying up, washing up, and packing away tables and chairs. Many hands make light work, and your assistance would be a tremendous blessing to us as we conclude our special day.
